Transfers
An employee can be transferred to a new primary dimension member. The Transfers tab displays all pending and denied transfers.
If you transfer to a unit you have access to, the transfer goes through automatically. If you transfer to a unit you do not have access to, the destination unit can approve or deny the transfer request.
When a transfer is approved, the position moves to the destination unit gaining all the costs associated with the position as well as read and write privileges to the position.
If a transfer is denied, the position stays at the source unit and the source unit retains all the costs.
Pending transfer costs stay with the source unit until approved or denied.
You cannot transfer a distributed position or employee. You must delete any distributions prior to transferring an employee.
Once a transfer is accepted, it is no longer listed on this tab. Accepted transfers can be reviewed on the Transfer report.
