Office integration

EPM Office integration is an add-in to Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint installed by individual users on their computer. The add-in can insert an entire Decision view or data blocks from an Application Studio report into a Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint document.

The data brought into the document can be displayed as a table or chart. Once in a document, the data can be manipulated or formatted using standard Microsoft Office capabilities.

Decision or Application Studio source formatting can be transferred to the Microsoft Office document. If the Use pre-defined formatting option is selected, any formatting changes made in Microsoft Office is replaced with source formatting when the inserted objects are refreshed.

After you have installed the EPM Office add-in, you can produce documents that can be sent to other users. Document recipients can view the information in the document but cannot refresh the information unless they have installed the EPM Office add-in. Recipients can change the information by typing over the information unless the document is protected.
