Phasing

You can take a value and distribute it among selected cells according to a definition, also known as a profile. The profile specifies the proportions by which to spread or modify the data. You can edit data across one or more rows or down one or more columns. The new values replace any existing numbers in the selected cells. You can spread quarterly or annual totals across rows (or down columns) using the standard Even Spread or 445 profiles or your own customized spread profile. In the table below, salary expense has been spread by the number of weeks per month using the 445 profile; rent has been spread evenly by month for the quarter using the Even Spread profile; and travel has been spread in the same manner as last year's actual results using a customized profile.
