Entering ownership data

This section discusses how users can specify ownership data for applications that have enabled the Ownership process.

Ownership data involves first specifying investor relationships, calculating ownership percents, and finally reviewing/modifying ownership properties for each unit in the group. The data specified for investor relationships determines the unit type and the values allowed for the ownership properties. The ownership properties in turn determine which consolidation method to employ during the consolidation process. For each unit, ownership data may differ between organizational hierarchies, between versions, and from one period to the next.
