Performance factors

Larger views take longer to refresh than smaller views.
Performance for member selection is dependent on the number of members in the dimension and the complexity of the hierarchy (amount of parent/child relationships). A dimension with thousands of members causes slow performance when selecting members.
Nesting members deep within a hierarchy affects performance for finding members in the Member Selection dialog box.
