Creating a position assignment

To create a position assignment:

  1. Open the Position Assignments page.
  2. Click Add Position.
  3. From the Unit list, select a primary dimension member.
  4. From the Position Name list, select a position.
  5. Specify all other required fields. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).
  6. Optionally, specify values for non-required fields.
  7. Optionally, click Position Allocation to specify the allocation for the position.
  8. If budgeting by employee, click the Employee tab.
  9. Click Add new employee or select an existing employee ID from the list.
  10. Specify the required and optional employee fields.
  11. Click Save. Saving creates the required Base Salary action.
  12. Click the Actions tab to assign additional actions.
  13. Click Calculate to calculate the actions.
