Elimination/ownership unit posting rules

An Intercompany Eliminations journal must have an approved status to post during a consolidation. Work-in-process journals cannot post.

When the Ownership process is enabled and ownership data exists for the selected data slice (year, version, and top unit), ownership percentages can vary at each hierarchical level. Consequently, Intercompany Eliminations journal adjustments post to the first common ancestor of the specifying unit and its affiliated unit as well as every ancestor elimination.

If ownership data does not exist for the selected data slice or the Ownership process is disabled, then journal adjustments only post to the first common elimination/ownership unit (not ancestor units).
