Approving and rejecting data

Approvers Only

  1. Click Review Submissions for Approval.
  2. You must be an authorized approver for the selected unit to approve or reject the data. To select a new unit, click the Status button for the Unit dimension, select a member, and click OK.
  3. Review the data.
  4. Click the Approve icon to approve and lock the data, or click the Reject icon to flag the data as available for editing and re-submission. You can only approve or reject data if the status is Submitted.

Immediately after approving or rejecting the data:

  • The Approval process may send an email to each submitter and approver assigned to the units to inform them the data is either approved or rejected.
  • The status changes from Submitted to Approved or Rejected.
  • The Reject icon remains on the toolbar if you approved the data. This lets you change the status to Rejected at a later time. Once you reject data you cannot change the status to Approved.
