Scheme Colors

The Edit Scheme Colors tab enables you to specify color schemes for:

  • Overview objects
  • Exceptions

The Modify Overview page used in building plans sets the color by object type as the default for the style associated with that view. It does not display the value bar gauge on a plan object in an Overview. The Plan Overview page uses the value bar gauge and a user can select color for objects based on value (which is the default) or based on object type.

The outline and table style of reports can have cells color-coded by performance value.

Select Menu Options > Edit Scheme Colors to open the tab.

These are the options:

Option Description
Select Scheme to Edit Select the scheme to edit or click Add new to add a scheme. The default schemes are:
  • ValueStyle controls the color used for the outcome performance values.
  • VarianceStyle controls the color used for variance values. This scheme is used for the variance in reports such as Performance by Type or Performance Results.
  • ActivityStyle controls the color used for the activity performance values.
These schemes provide the default color ranges. For example, ValueStyle uses three tolerance ranges assigning red, yellow and green coloration. You can edit these existing schemes but you cannot delete them.
Specify Color for scheme name

Click Insert to add a range.

> and <= specifies the numeric range.

Background sets the color for the background.

Text sets the color for the text.

Value Bar sets the color to use in the value bar of the nodes in an Overview style report when the color is assigned by value. Note that Overview nodes background/text colors also are set with exception color. The value bar is the way to represent the data value.

Icon specifies the icon to use. There is a library of images that you can use for trends for all of your plans. It is located on the server in Program Files\Infor\CPM\Web\ApplicationContainer\Applications\StrategyManagement\Images\ValueColorSchemes. You can create your own icons instead and place them in that directory. The icons must be in GIF format and 16x16 pixels in size. You cannot have a transparent background for the icon; you must set a color for it.

If the value is missing use Specify the background and text color to use when a value is missing. For example, this occurs when object has no measure associated with it and has no children to contribute a roll up value.
