Variables

Administrators can define a common set of associated variables. This is accomplished using a Variable dimension.

Variables are automatically attached to any plan object for the associated units. Variables show up in reports only when data has been entered for other selected plan objects or units. If there is no data for the selected period or unit, the variable does not appear in Financial View reports.

The Success and Cost variables are provided by default.

Note: Do not delete, rename, or make any changes to the Success variable. You can rename or change the Cost variable but do not delete it.

You can use Microsoft Analysis Services to customize the Variable dimension.
