Defining measures - SQL

To define a measure for a SQL source:

  1. Open the Edit Measures Source Actual or Edit Measures Source Target page.
  2. Select a row.
  3. Select Menu Options > Measures Source.
  4. Select Menu Options > Show Dimensions.
  5. Click a dimension button to open the Member Selection panel.
  6. Select a leaf level member of the unit dimension and click Submit.
  7. Select SQL as the source.
  8. Select a data source.
  9. Select a view.
  10. Click Key Columns and select the column that uniquely identifies the rows in the source table.
  11. Click Data Columns and select the columns that will contain the data. The number of items selected must match the number of columns in the Edit Measures Source page that is selected.
  12. Select the source for the data.
  13. Click Save.

After completing the data source details, select Menu Options > Edit Measures Definition.
