Rules when no accumulation over time

The following rules are used when the Measured values accumulate over time check box is not checked on the Edit Measures Definition tab when the measure was defined. This is for special cases where from one interval to the next you want to check the actual value and not sum over the measurement interval. For example, for a Balance Sheet item (like Cash or Liabilities) you would want to use the current number. For the last quarter in a year you would not want to add up the numbers from the previous 3 quarters. A Yes/No type of measure follows these rules as it by definition does not accumulate over time.

  • Current uses the target and actual values from the selected period in calculations.
  • YTD uses the target and actual values from the selected period in calculations.
  • Total Year uses the actual value from the selected period and uses the target value from the last period in calculations.
  • Plan to Date uses the target and actual values from the selected period in calculations.
  • Total Plan uses the actual value from the selected period and uses the target value from the last period in the plan in calculations.
