Choose option

You can set up a plan from a fully functional sample illustrating a certain methodology or base it on an empty shell.

For the Traditional Sample option, the Application Wizard sets up a fully functional plan. The plan contains certain responsibilities assigned to fictitious users. To see the responsibility assignments in reports, the users must be added as users to the CPM Server computer.

For the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Sample options, the Application Wizard creates a fully functioning plan using the Balanced Scorecard methodology. The fictitious users described above must be added to the server as well.

For the Government Sample option, the Application Wizard creates a fully functioning plan that a government agency can use or adapt. The fictitious users described above must be added to the server as well.

For the Traditional Shell and Balanced Scorecard Shell options, the Application Wizard sets up any fixed dimensions as needed. You can specify the structure and format of the Periods dimension. The Application Wizard supports setting up a non-calendar planning year and retail style dates (periods). There is one plan object supplied, named Strategy Plan, as the topmost object.

After the plan is created from the shell, you can then adjust the Scenario and Unit dimensions and security.
