Adjusting plans

For a plan created from a shell, an administrator can adjust the Unit and Scenario dimensions.

For a plan created from a sample, the plan is already fully populated. There are limited changes that you can make because these are complete plans. For example, you can rename members in the Unit and Scenario dimensions.

All other dimensions are set by the Application Wizard and should not be adjusted.

Upgrading the unit dimension

A typical set of organization units is supplied for the Unit dimension. Members can be adjusted by using Analysis Services Analysis Manager, SQL Server Management Studio, or by the administrator.

The members do not need to match the organizational unit members in CPM. A mapping facility is provided when linking to views for defining actuals or targets for measures.

Upgrading the scenario dimension

The default members for the Scenario dimension are Expected and Best Case. No interface is supplied to rename, add, or delete scenario dimension members. Members can be adjusted by using SQL Server Enterprise Manager or SQL Server Management Studio, or by the administrator. There must be at least one member. After making the adjustments, you must process the cube.

Adjusting property field names

You can provide an alias for a property name. See "Properties".
