Adding a custom property
If the standard properties do not address all your needs, you can add properties to an object. There is no limit to the number of properties that you can add. The properties you add can be used the same way as the standard properties. You must have administrator access to add properties.
- Select Menu Options > Set Property Usage.
- Click Add new.
- Specify a name for the property.

Select one of the following property types. The property type
determines how the property displays to the user:
Property field Description Content type Text Text field available for any use Text 255 characters or less Memo Text comment Text 5000 characters or less Integer Sets the field to accept only integer values Numeric Decimal Sets the decimal precision Numeric Percent Sets the number format as percentage Numeric Currency Sets the number format as currency Numeric List Only text list properties are provided. This property provides a drop list functionality of the txt values List type properties are members editable like the current default list properties. NameList As used for default Responsibility list property The values come from Responsibility table or Active Directory. Period Initially provide Period member selection types Allows single member selection via the member selection dialog box for the specified dimension. Unit Initially provide Unit member selection Allows single member selection via the member selection dialog box for the specified dimension. - Click OK. The property is added to the table.
- Change the Alias, Use in Plan, and Display in Panel options as needed.
- Click Save.
