Properties

Each plan object has a set of properties. You can decide which properties exist in a plan as well as supply another name (alias) to use instead of the standard name. The settings apply to all plan objects regardless of object type.

Property values can appear as columns in reports.

Select Menu Options > Set Property Usage to open the tab.

These are the options:

Option Description
Name Displays the property name.
Alias Specify the name to use as the alias for the property. The alias is the name displayed to users. Do not use the words variance, actual, and target for an alias as these words conflict with system supplied columns in reports. In addition, we recommend that you avoid using the word Comments as an alias as this word is used for discussion comments.
Use in Plan Select this check box to include the property in the plan.
Display in Panel Select this check box to display the property in the Properties panel. If this check box is not selected, the property is invisible to the user.
Add new Add a new property.
Delete Delete the selected property.
Edit Property List Change the display values of an item or add a new value for any List type property. This button is enabled for Category, Priority, List, or a NameList items.
Save Save any changes.
Cancel Close the tab. You are prompted if there are unsaved changes.
