Adding an object type

To add an object type:

  1. Select Menu Options > Edit Object Types.
  2. Click Add new.
  3. Specify the name for the new object type. The name must be unique.
  4. Select the name of the object type to use as the basis for the new type's settings. This copies the characteristics from an existing object type to the new object type. Leave the selection as None to use default values.
  5. Click OK.
  6. To change the options for an object type, edit the values in its row.
    1. Name is displayed in the Object Types window.
    2. Description explains the usage of the object type.
    3. Image is the icon shown on the object within the Overview display when the show icon style display option is selected.
    4. Background and Text control the background and text color, respectively, for objects of this type in an Overview report.
    5. Value Bar indicates the performance value for a plan object in the Overview report style when the Color by Object Type toolbar button is selected.
  7. Click Save.
