Units

A typical set of organization units is supplied for the Unit dimension. You can create your own units, delete the standard units, rename units, or reorder their appearance. An administrator can use DTS to load a unit structure from other sources.

Keep these points in mind:

  • Set up your units before building your plan. This is not required but it is highly recommended.
  • The members do not need to match the organizational unit members in CPM. A mapping facility is provided when linking to views for defining actuals or targets for measures.
  • If you add units below already existing units in the hierarchy and your consolidation method is Sum, then clear the data from the already existing units. If you do not, then the sum calculations are incorrect.
