Defining a load group

To define a load group:

  1. Access the Load Groups page. For example: /CpmOpenlink/LoadGroups?View=CT P Openlink&Mode=Admin
  2. Click the plus sign to add a new load group. A new row will be added.
Note: There is no limit to the number of load groups. Each time the user starts OpenLink and selects a load group, the period and year are automatically set to the default period and year.
  3. Specify these information:
    Option Description
Load Group Name The name of the load group. You can specify up to 40 alphanumeric characters.
AP View Name The view name for the Approval Process. This is required to set up a group that respects the Approval Process. The view is used to get and set the approval status. We recommend you use a copy of the Approval_Base view. If status is needed for multiple versions, set up a load group with a separate view for each version. Each view must have the appropriate off-grid schedule line and version selected.
Default Period The default period for the Period list. You must select from the drop-down list.
Default Year The default period for the Year list. You must select from the drop-down list.
Display Order The display order for the Load Group list. You can specify any number to change the display order.
When defining a load group for the Approval Process, leave the Default Period and Default Year fields empty. If these fields are left empty, the current off-grid members for period or year from the view specified by AP View Name are used as the default workflow periods.
