Creating a load definition

New load definitions are saved at the intersection point of the current workflow members:

  • Load group
  • Hierarchy
  • Period
  • Year
  • Unit
Before creating a load definition, you should decide on the frequency (monthly, yearly) and the earliest period where the load definition is needed. Recurring load definitions are used in later periods but not for earlier periods.

Load definitions that are saved in a real period, for example January, is used in all future real periods. If a load definition is saved in other periods, for example Opening Balance, are considered yearly definitions and is only seen in later periods.

Load definitions cannot be shared among different members.

Note: Information is kept separate for auditing purposes.

You can use public property sets to simplify the maintenance of common items such as columns and transformations. See Property Set Options dialog box for information on property sets.
