Establish mappings
Several methods exist to establish a mapping. You can use the methods separately or in conjunction with the other methods.
Unmapped columns are highlighted.
Column as source
The Column option is available for all dimensions.
In the dimension list, left-click a dimension and drag the dimension to the appropriate column header in the Source File table. Selecting a Column from the Source column first is optional. After you drop a dimension in the table, the name is displayed in place of <Drag Mapping Here>.
You can map multiple dimensions to a single column. As you drag each dimension to the column header, the name is added to the header. Optionally, you can right-click a dimension and select Copy. In the source file table, right-click a column header and select Paste for single and multiple dimension mapping.
You may also clear the mapping of the selected column header by header and select Clear Mappings.
Current as source
The Current option is available for the Year and Unit dimensions.
In the dimension list, from the Source column, select Current. When Current is selected, the selection made in the Workflow Navigation section is used. Current is the default value when you first create a load definition. The word Current also shows in the Mapping column.
The <Drag Mapping Here> text is displayed in the Source File table.
Member as source
The Member option is available for all dimensions.
In the dimension list, from the Source column, select Member. For most dimensions, the Member Selection dialog box automatically is displayed where you can select the member to be used. The name of the member you select shows in the Mapping column. For the Period and Year dimensions, a Down arrow is displayed in the Mapping column after you select Member. Click that arrow to show the Member Selection dialog box.
The <Drag Mapping Here> text is displayed in the Source File table.
