Loadable members

The Loadable Members tab enables you to restrict the members to which data are loaded. This is useful for an administrator setting up a load definition that is run by a user. The administrator can restrict the members thus ensuring that data is only loaded to the appropriate slice. Users can always load data to affiliated unit dimension members.

OpenLink fully respects all security applied to the CPM database. As such, we recommend that you do not set loadable members on secured dimensions. It is not possible for a user to load to any member where they do not have read/write access if security is enforced.

If you must set loadable members on a secured dimension, remember that the loadable member restriction is evaluated by the user running the load, so ensure to set the restriction based on members the user can see. For example, do not set a restriction on leaf descendants of North America if the user running the load cannot see North America. If set, the load will fail when run by the restricted user.

Dimension Dimensions list.
Selected Members Members to which data are loaded. The default is All Members. Click the browse button to display the On-Grid Member Selection dialog box where you can select specific members. See On-Grid Member Selection Dialog Box for more information.

If the source file to be imported contains members that are outside of what you specify here, they are treated as errors.
