Sort dialog box

The Sort dialog box is used to sort a table to control the order of members within a dimension. You can sort on one or more columns. For example, you can sort by currency and by ID in Ascending Order to have the members automatically sorted alphabetically when the dimension is created.

The Sort process is modified when creating an hierarchical or schedule dimension. For hierarchical dimensions, the parents always come before its descendants and then the sort order is applied. For the schedule dimension, members contributing to a downfoot always come before the downfoot.

Option	Description
Delete Level	Deletes the selected row.
Move Level Up / Move Level Down	Moves the selected row up or down one level. Click the ellipsis to select the row. Mouse over the ellipsis and hold down the selection. Drag the selection upward or downward as required.
Sort by Column	Specifies the column to be sorted. You can specify multiple columns.
Order	Sort order; ascending or descending.
