Error refreshing data or summation calculation failure
Non-English Versions of Excel Only
If Refresh Data returns an error (such as "ComshareXLVB;Application-defined or object-defined error") or if the summation calculation fails (that is,, when "sum" is not used in the calculation string), there may be non-English function names on the grid (for example, "summe" is used instead of "sum"). To resolve this issue so that Excel Services can use non-English function names, run the EsLang.reg file on the client computer. This file is located in the \Web\XLServices\Samples directory on the server.
Administrators can distribute the EsLang.reg file to users using one of these two methods:
- Zip up and email the file directly to the client user.
- Copy the file to a shared directory and email a link to the client user.
