Customizing workbooks
After you have added a view to the workbook, you can customize the rest of the spreadsheet using Excel's features such as graphs, charts and formulas
See your Excel documentation for further ideas and detailed information on how to add these elements.
If you have chosen not to use the view definition formatting, you can format the cells within the data area without the formatting being replaced when the workbook is reopened. You will not see the special formatting for different dimension member types or exception color-coding that can be defined in CPM.
When you add charts, graphs and other elements to your worksheets, remember that as users change the drill mode setting, the omit missing setting, or rotate and pivot the views, the shape of the data areas will change. There can be more or fewer rows or columns as the user works with the views. Be sure to allow enough room on the worksheets to allow for these changes. For example, you might place graphics in rows above their data areas so that they are not affected by changes in the data area shape.
