Using registry files to set workbook properties
You can set workbook properties using the Workbook Properties menu command or via registry files.
These registry files are provided in the \Web\ClientSetup\XLServices\Samples directory. Using a registry file resets the defaults on the Workbook Property dialog box, so that every workbook automatically has the settings specified by the registry file. There are four sample files:
- WBPropsAnalysisServices.reg turns off the local consolidation settings
- WBPropsDefault.reg returns the dialog box to the system defaults
- BPropsNoRefresh.reg turns off the Refresh settings
- AdminUser.reg grants the user administration rights, giving them additional options on the CPM Views menu
You can also create your own custom registry file by editing one of the existing files to suit your needs. The registry files can be edited in a text editor. Once you have a registry file set, double-click the file to change the registry.
