XBRL reporting

Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is a specification for publishing financial information in the XML format. It is designed to provide a standard set of XML tags for exchanging accounting information and financial statements between companies and analysts. Some regulatory agencies are mandating the use of interactive data (XBRL) for primary financial statement reporting by publicly traded companies.

CPM includes XBRL reporting tools from EDGAR Online. The Taxonomy Designer provides the fundamental and comprehensive functionality required to create, exchange, consume, and manage large numbers of XBRL instance documents and taxonomies. Report Builder is an application that facilitates creating, interacting with, and validating XBRL documents. Report Builder leverages the familiar user interface of Microsoft Office products, enabling users to prepare, import, review, and analyze XBRL data. Preparers can assemble data using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
