Defining spread methods

Spread methods cannot be deleted once they are linked to an employee or asset type. Spread method names cannot be changed once linked to an employee or asset type.

  1. Click the Spread Methods tab.
  2. In the Spread Method field for each spread method, specify a descriptive name for the spread method. You can specify up to sixty characters. Detail Budgeting provides these sample methods: Evenly and WeekdaysPerMonth. These and any new methods you specify is displayed in the Spread Method list on the Employee Types and the Asset Types tabs.
  3. In each of the period fields (P01, P02, et.c), specify the weight for that period. These fields accept values up to 5 digits with an additional two-digit decimal precision. Blank fields are assumed to be zero.
