Defining a custom global event
To customize an existing global event, select an event, change the properties, and save.
- Click the Event Types tab.
- From the Event Types list, select <new global event>.

Properties group box,
complete these areas:
- Specify a name for the global event.
- Select either Percent of Salary or Fixed Amount. In the Amount box, specify the percent (if the Percent of Salary option is selected) or an amount (if the Fixed Amount option is selected). If a percent is used, you can specify a maximum salary amount in the Salary Limit box for which this type of event will apply.
- You can choose whether this event should Apply to each Employee. If this global event does not apply to each employee, the end user can select individuals or groups of employees this global event should be applied to.
- If the first month of the fiscal year is not January, then the option Applies to Calendar Year is displayed. For an application that uses a fiscal year, you can still choose to have the event that uses a calendar year.
- Click Add.
