Copying Detail Budgeting data
- Select .
- Select the current version being used.
- Select the destination version to receive the copied data.
- Click OK.
Keep these rules in mind:
- Snapshot Version clears the destination version of data before copying the source data.
- If you have a secondary dimension specified, Snapshot Version copies only rows associated with that dimension's members.
- Snapshot Version respects security on the secondary dimension; therefore, only rows with members that the current user has access to are copied.
- Snapshot Version respects the security of the applications. If the user does not have access to a particular version, then the version does not appear in the Source Version or Destination Version lists on the Snapshot dialog box.
- Snapshot Version respects the focus range.
You can use Snapshot Version and focus ranges to show actuals to a certain date while allowing for input of forecast numbers at the end of the budget period. You can do this by setting a focus range on the Forecast version and then using Snapshot Version to copy the actuals into the Forecast version.
