Consolidation phases
The consolidation process includes three distinct phases:
- RPT
- XLT (not applicable to local consolidations)
- CONS
Each phase processes data one sheet at a time, pulls beginning and opening balances, calculates downfoot formulas, and evaluates other formulas permitted in the formula conditions. Between these phases, period and hierarchical rollup processes occur.
The functions of the consolidation phases are different in a local consolidation than in a currency consolidation, as detailed in these sections.
