Advantages of a consolidation script

These are some advantages to creating a consolidation script as opposed to using the Consolidation page.

• Some consolidation parameters are only available through scripts; they are not available on the Consolidation page.
• You can script multiple consolidations to run automatically at specific times; if you use the Consolidation page, you must run each consolidation manually.
• Scripts are reusable; you do not need re-create the script each time or remember specific member selections.
• You can collect a series of scripts into a script module to consolidate your data in different orders or for different purposes.
