Consolidation timing

You can consolidate while other users are working with CPM Workstation, but you should be aware of the activities on the system while the consolidation process is running. In some cases, it may not make sense to consolidate the database while other users are active. This section includes some examples to consider.

You should also be aware that consolidating large portions of data could be a processor-intensive and memory-intensive task on your server. If your CPM Server computer has limited memory or processor power, consolidating the database while users are active may result in poorer performance for both the users and the consolidation process. You should use your server's performance monitor tools to monitor processor and memory utilization during this time.
