Rules of operation
These are the rules of operation:
- Because UseNetOffsheetData requires the consolidation engine to check for existence of adjustment and net adjusted data for every slice in the consolidation request, this option should be enabled only in the case where there are formulas with off-sheet references that have been adjusted in the consolidation process and when the consolidation scope does not include adjustments to the selected schedules.
- Source schedules (such as Schedule A) must be consolidated first, and the target schedule (such as Schedule B) consolidated afterward (using the UseNetOffsheetData parameter).
- If no data value exists for any line in the target schedule (such as Schedule B), either 0 should be submitted for one of the formula lines to be calculated or the consolidation option Process Unsubmitted Statements should be selected to produce correct results with UseNetOffsheetData.
- If a formula references a line located in the schedule being consolidated but the line is associated with a category, then that line is treated as an off-sheet reference and should be consolidated first. If the schedule is consolidated for the same category that is associated with the line in the formula, then the schedule should be consolidated twice for that category.
- Even if a journal is effective for only one period, any subsequent consolidations after the effective life within the same year must use the UseNetOffsheetData parameter for the adjustment and net adjusted data to be calculated.
