Rules
A consolidation uses Method 1 (Ownership process) only when:
- The Ownership process is enabled.
- Consolidation methods are defined for the version being consolidated.
- Ownership data exists for the version, year, and top unit being consolidated.
A consolidation uses Method 2 - Managerial Ownership process only when:
- The Ownership process is enabled.
- Consolidation methods are defined for the version being consolidated.
- Ownership data exists for the version, year, and top unit being consolidated.
- The Managerial Ownership Relationships option is used to calculate ownership percentages.
- Consolidation process specified to use the Ownership Managerial Consolidation option on the Options page.
When the preceding conditions are met, a consolidation:
- Does not support level depth consolidations unless the level depth is 0 and leaf processing is not suppressed.
- Does not support the ReadSubmittedConsNode parameter (on the web, this option is called Read Local Consolidated Data).
- Applies the consolidation percent.
- Rolls up elimination unit and ownership unit data only to the immediate consolidation unit.
- Rolls up control holding units 100% to all ancestors.
- Rolls up legal units and holding units according to the percent determined by the consolidation method used for each unit (for each consolidation unit).
