Step 3
The third step collects the information that is used to create a CPM model data source.

| Connection type |
List of connection types. AS. Generic Analysis Services data source XML Relational. A CPM Relational (Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server) data source. PMOLAP. CPM on Infor ION BI OLAP Server data source. |

| Microsoft SQL Server |
Server Name specifies the name of the server computer on which the Microsoft SQL Server software is installed. Database Name specifies the database name. User Name specifies a name for the database owner. Password specifies the password for the database owner. |
| Oracle |
TNS Service specifies the TNS name. Or Host specifies the name of the host computer on which the Oracle software is installed. Port specifies the port number. Service Name specifies the name of the Oracle service. User ID specifies the user name of the database owner or administrator. Password specifies the password for the database owner or administrator. |
| Analysis Services |
Server Name specifies the name of the server computer for the Analysis Services cube. Database Name specifies the database name. User ID specifies the name of a Windows domain user for the Analysis Services cube Password specifies the password for the domain user. Selected Cubes specifies the cube to connect to the data source. |
| CPM Server |
Server Name specifies the name of the server computer on which the CPM Server software is installed. The server name specified here must match the server name specified in the ConnectionDefinitions.config file. Port specifies the port number for CPM Server. Specify the network protocol, http or https. |
| BI OLAP |
OLAP CommManager URL specifies the URL for the communications manager. For http, specify http://localhost:8210. For https, specify https://OLAPServerName:8211. Data Source Name is a list of data sources. User ID specifies the user name of the database owner. Password specifies the password for the database owner. Selected Cubes specifies the cube to connect to the data source. |
