Default Structure

The Default Structure page enables you to review, edit, add, and delete members from dimensions before loading the structure into the model. You can change the default structure for these dimensions:

  • Year
  • Currency
  • Version
  • Rate
  • Rate Set

Unit, Schedule, and any custom dimension structure are loaded in a later step if the source system contains the standardized PM Source Views. Otherwise, you must use Architect to modify the structure of the Unit, Schedule, or any custom dimensions.

The tabs that are displayed on this page align with the dimension names that were specified on the Model Dimensions page.

We recommend that you only edit dimensions that are not loaded from PM Source views.

All dimensions must have at least one member if default members are to be created in the model.

For the Currency dimension you can select whether the currency exchange rate should be used as a multiplier (M) or divisor (D) factor for translation.

You can create a model without any default members. This is known as a shell model. If you choose to create a shell model, the default structure section and the toolbar buttons are disabled.
