Migrate 10.1 Content
The Migrate 10.1 Content option migrates a 10.1.x views database to a new views database. The utility does the following:
- Connects to an existing 10.1.5 and above views database.
- Selects views for migration based on views data source.
- Creates a 10.4.x views data source for the new views database.
- Replaces each 10.1 model data source . Optionally, a new data source can be created if needed.
- Empties the target views database and then migrates selected 10.1 views and all 10.1 styles into the target views database.
- During the migration, Decision calculations may be revised for new syntax.
There is preparation work before starting a views migration.
- The Create Views Database needs to be run first to create an empty target database.
- The 10.1 Eqlsrvr.ini file should be copied from the PM Decision server to the CPM Server computer. It is found in the Windows directory and should be copied to the same location on the CPM Server computer. The information in the Eqlsrvr.ini file is used to populate fields in the utility.
- The 10.1 source database must be at a 10.1.0 or above version level.
- View status should be reviewed before migration. Out-dated views or private views should be removed.
- Since the migration utility requires an empty target database, views associated with different CPM models can be migrated and verified in separate views databases and then imported into the views database supporting the workstation.
- Calculations that have been edited in 10.1.x are not migrated. These calculations must be recreated after the migration completes.
