In the CTrain sample database, the Approval Views schedule already contains one schedule line for Budgeting, CT AP Expenses, and one schedule line for Financial Consolidation, CT AP Expenses CP. If you are not using CTrain, complete this section.

  1. Go to Administration > Architect > Model Management > Members in Hierarchy.
  2. Select Activity > Check Out. From the check out structure, select the Schedule dimension. Click Check Out. Click OK.
  3. Select the Schedule dimension. Click the Action button and select Add Child Member.
  4. For the name, specify Approval Views. Set the Periodicity attribute to Yearly and the Required attribute to N.
  5. Add a schedule line to use for each logical group of accounts that are processed through the approval process. You can use one schedule line for budgeting and one for financial consolidation. It can also be multiple accounts for budgeting and only one for financial consolidation depending on the workflow.
  6. Select Activity > Check In. Click Yes.
  7. To release the changes to the production database, select Activity > Release. Click Yes.
