Source System Connection
The Source System Connection page gathers the information about the source system needed to import the structure and load data to the model.
The Model Builder can load structure and data into the model from a source that is integrated with CPM. If the source is not integrated with CPM, then you must use the Import Wizard in Architect to load structure and OpenLink to load data. See the Infor CPM Platform Support Guide for information on integrated sources.
Option | Description |
---|---|
OpenLink Data Source Name | Name of the OpenLink data source. This data source is stored for future use in OpenLink load definitions in the CPM model. It must be a unique OpenLink data source name. |
Database Server Type | Source database type. Choose SQL Server or Oracle. |
Integrated Security | Select this check box if you are using integrated security. Leave this box clear if you are using another type of security. By default, this box is clear. This check box is disabled if Oracle is the source database type. |
TNS Service | Oracle only. Alias to the connection information for the Oracle database. |
Database Server | SQL Server only. Name of the database server computer. |
User Name | User name to access the database. This check box is disabled if the Integrated Security check box is selected. |
Password | Password to access the database. This check box is disabled if the Integrated Security check box is selected. |
Schema Name | Schema name for the source database. |
Test Connection | Validates the information specified by testing the connect string. If any of the information is incorrect, an error is displayed. |
