Enabling email notifications

Alert exceptions can be configured to send an email notification when they are evaluated and result in cells that match the alert exception criteria. To enable the sending of these notifications you must setup the email server to be used.

To configure the email server that CPM Server should use:

  1. Open the Set Properties page.
  2. Go to the emailServerName line for the DecisionService.
  3. In the Value column, specify the name of the email server computer.
  4. Go to the emailServerPort line for the DecisionService.
  5. In the Value column, specify the port for the email server computer.
