Hiding members
If you have nested dimensions on the grid, you can hide a specific combination of members so they do not display on the grid. You can hide member combinations in both the across and down dimensions. For example, if the across dimension of the grid looks similar to this:

Game Machines | Telephones | TVs | Game Machines | Telephones | TVs |
You can hide only the member combination Sales, New York, and Telephones, so the across dimension looks like this:
Sales | ||||
New York | Los Angeles | |||
Game Machines | TVs | Game Machines | Telephones | TVs |
To hide a member:
- Click the Dimensions tab.
- Select the across or down dimension you want to hide. You can select multiple rows or columns by using the standard Windows key combinations of Ctrl+click and Shift+click. You can also click and drag the mouse to select multiple columns. If you do not immediately move the mouse, you are put into drag mode.
- In the Hide / Show group, click . If the selected row or column header contains a keyword, you are prompted to hide by keyword or by member.
- Click .
