Adding new groups

When you add a group, it is added to an alternate hierarchy from the group selected. The group is added without a member, although the group must contain a member with an established relationship to parent or child groups to pass an audit. You can add members and establish relationships for this alternate hierarchy.

To add a group to a hierarchy:

  1. Check out the dimension to be modified.
  2. In the Groups pane, select a group and right-click. Select the required action:
    • Add Group. The group is added as an alternate hierarchy above the group selected.

    • Add Base Group. The new group is added to the bottom.

  3. Specify the group properties and attributes of the new group. You can:
    • Add new members.
    • Move members to other groups.
    • Copy schedules.
  4. Assign the appropriate attributes to the member. Each dimension has different attributes.
  5. Click Save.
