Translation gain/loss lines
A translation gain/loss line calculates the gain/loss for a downfoot line that results from currency translation. The formula for the line needs to include the gain/loss line, followed by the equal sign and then the lines that determine the gain/loss, using addition and subtraction as appropriate to the natural signs of the lines.
The right side of the assignment statement can contain only line references, addition and subtraction operators, and parentheses. Conditional statements are not allowed.
Here is an example for a line called Translation Gain, which is a child of B/S Total Retained Earnings.
