Adding a constant line
A constant line is a value-specified line on the plot, behind the data points, to indicate a value as a limit or other special meaning. Constant lines can be customized with color, line style, thickness, and a font and color specified label.
To add a constant line:
- On the Chart tab, in the Zones group, click .
- Click .
- In the Name box, specify a name for the constant line.
- Click .
- From the Type list, select Constant Line.
- In the Value box, specify a value for the constant line.
- From the Color list, select a color for the constant line.
- From the Style list, select a line style. You can choose a solid line or variations of dots and dashes.
- In the Width box, specify a width for the constant line. Specify 1 for the thinnest line, up to 20 for the thickest line.
- Select the Label on line check box if you want the name of the constant line to appear above the line.
- Optionally, specify a font type, size and other attributes.
- Optionally, from the Color list, select a color for the label text.
- Click OK.
