Beginning balance lines

A beginning balance line pulls its value from its total line's amount in the prior period. The total line is referred to as an ending balance line. The prior period is determined by the periodicity of the schedule.

Beginning balance lines behave the same as opening balance lines in periodic format.

Beginning balance lines can only be used with balance sheet lines.
