Creating the navigation database - Oracle

  1. Open the default navigation page. You are redirected to the CPM Navigation Database Creation Utility page.
  2. From the Database Server Type list, select Oracle.
  3. In the Database Administrator User ID field, specify the database administrator user ID.
  4. In the Database Administrator Password field, specify the password for the database administrator.
  5. Select an Oracle connection type, TNS Service Connection or Oracle Database Connection. Complete the appropriate information.
    1. Specify the TNS name. This name is required and must be set up in the tnsnames.ora file. The TNS name in the tnsnames.ora file includes the host name, service name, and port number for each TNS name.
    2. Specify the name of the host computer on which the Oracle software is installed.
    3. Specify the name of the Oracle service.
    4. Specify the port number. The default is 1521.
  6. In the Data Source Name field, specify the name for the data source. The default is Navigation.
  7. In the Navigation Database Name field, specify the name for the navigation database.
  8. In the Navigation Database Owner ID field, specify the User ID of the navigation database owner.
  9. In the Navigation Database Owner Password field, specify the password for the navigation database owner.
  10. Click Test Connection.
  11. Click Create Database.
