Assigning the Affiliate attribute

Units that are involved in intercompany transactions must have an Elimination Status of Affiliate. For intercompany transactions, see Effect of application changes to journals.

To assign the Affiliate attribute:

  1. Select Administration > Architect > Model Management > Members in Hierarchy.
  2. Select Activity > Check Out. Ensure that All Structures is selected.
  3. Select Check Out. Click OK.
  4. From the Member's list, select the member to be changed. The attributes displayed depend on whether you selected a Parent or a Child member.
  5. To change an attribute, in the Value field, click the ellipsis. In the pop-up window, select Affiliate to assign the attribute.
  6. Click Save. After saving, click OK.
  7. To validate the changes, select Activity > Audit. Click Yes.
  8. To check in, select Activity > Check In. Click Yes.
  9. To release the changes to the production database, select Activity > Release. Click Yes.
