Adding the Approval Status Monitor view

The Approval process provides the capability to view the approval status for all units using the Approval Status Monitor feature. A special view must be defined to configure the feature. We recommend you define a view for each version governed by the approval process.

The Approval Status Monitor page can display a grid or an Overview object. You can display an Overview object by adding the Type parameter to the URL.

To add the view:

  1. Set up the dimensions as:

  2. Set the exception ranges as desired. Here is one example:
    Includes Bottom Bottom Top Includes Top Back Color
    -2 x Blue
    -1 x Red
    0 x White
    1 x Yellow
    2 x Green
    3 x Purple

    If you are using the Overview object, use different colors for the Back Color and Font Color. If you are using the grid, we recommend the Back Color and Font Color be set to the same color.

  3. Deselect the Enforce consecutive ranges option.
  4. Do not allow writeback to any members.
  5. It is not necessary to display: Adjusted State, Accumulation Method, Product, Sales Channel, Rate Set, or Currency.
  6. The off-grid member for custom dimensions must be the same for the Approval_Base view.
  7. Display the Schedule Line on a button so it is selectable.
  8. Display Version for reference. You can use a button or label.
