Overview

The Overview visualization object displays an on-grid dimension's hierarchy using a radial graph. The branches of the hierarchy radiate out from the home node. The Overview displays the relationship of children to parents in the selected hierarchy.

An Overview's focus members are defined by the current off-grid members, and the projected direction is set to down.

The focus dimension is the dimension opposite the projected direction.

The focus member is the member from the focus dimension that determines where the Overview nodes' data comes from.

The projected direction is the on-grid position (across or down) that contains the dimension whose hierarchy displays in the Overview nodes.

The home node is the top node that is the center of the Overview. All other nodes are descendants of the home node.

A missing node is a node associated with a member that has missing data.

A standard node is all nodes other than home or missing nodes.
